Welcome to the Pre-Competition Program! Our twice weekly, year-round, 8-week sessions are designed to help your students take their next steps towards competitive artistic roller skating!
Here in Pre-Competition, we will be introducing your skaters to the two primary skating disciplines: freeskating and dance. They will take two classes weekly, one for each discipline. Just like our Star Skate Program, this is a 30 minute on skates class followed by a 30 minute off skates class that will compliment the fundamentals we are mastering in this program.
Pre-Competition is comprised of three different levels. At week 7, we will have our Assessment Day in which skaters' skills will be evaluated to determine if they are ready to progress to the next class level. Parents will receive a report card via email after the assessment which will indicate which level to register them for in the next session and help them keep track of their student's progress.
Upon completion of Level 3 Dance and Freeskating, our students will be prepared to join our Competition Team and compete in local, regional and National level competitions.
If your student has prior experience in skating (roller or ice), we strongly encourage you to sign them up for a skills assessment prior to the start of the program so that they begin in the appropriate class level for their skill set.
