Competition Team

Welcome to The Rinks Artistic Skating Competition Team! Our year-round, 8-week sessions are designed to prepare your skater for the world of competitive artistic roller skating. Here, we continue our commitment to helping our students develop self-confidence, strength, artistry and discipline in a fun and positive environment. Through a combination of group classes, private lessons, and holistic off-skates training, we will take your Pre-Comp skaters and help them become Competition Team athletes.

Competitive Team students participate in 3 hour long, weekly classes: one for Freeskating, one for Dance and one Dry Land (consisting of conditioning, spinner and stretching). These classes are divided by competitive age divisions. Additionally, students are eligible to take 1-2 private lessons per week with one of our instructors.

Our emphasis on group based training comes from the idea that the only way for us to grow is to grow together. Camaraderie is the cornerstone of our competitive club. We skate with each other and we support each other through every step of the competitive season!

The Club

Joining the Competitive Team includes joining the Competitive Team will include joining our official club Rinks Artistic Skating Team, chartered through USA Roller Sports. Competition Team skaters will need to purchase a yearly amateur card through USARS to compete in local, regional, national, and international competitions. Additionally, when launched, they will pay a monthly RAST membership fee that will allow skaters additional practice time.

Competition Team Trial Session

To kickstart our program, we will be having a 3-week trial session for our Freeskating and Dance classes. This trial will be for all World Skate competitive age groups. RAST Club Membership is not mandatory for this trial.

*If your student does not currently compete in World Skate events, please reach out to Coach Candice to have your student assessed to see which class would best fit their skill set.
